Animated Classics of Japanese Literature: The Izu Dancer/The Dancing Girl/A Ghost Story (DVD)
This collection of animated shorts features three tales based on the works of the renowned Japanese authors Kawabata Yasunari, Mori Ohgai, arts author child literature and Koisumi Yakumo. The first, Yasunari's THE IZU DANCER is a story about a student whose love for a dancer may never be fulfilled because of their conflicting social status. If you open almost any of award-winning author/illustrator Mercer Mayer's 250+ children's books you'll see dragons, cuddly monsters, wonderful creatures, arts author child literature and endearing critters.
